I’ve never witnessed such beautiful, creative dance.
The dancing group Mayya mesmerized the America’s Got Talent judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell with a stunning routine that shocked everyone.
In Lebanon, where women aren’t always encouraged to dance, choreographer Nadim Cherfan founded Mayas to provide a “secure and creative place” for great female dancers.
The group’s name means “the bold stroll of the lioness”.
They invited all four judges to sit together because Mayya wanted to hypnotize them, and they did so.
One of the dancers said, “Unfortunately, being a female Arab dancer is not entirely supported – so far. We want to demonstrate to the world that Arab women are capable of standing on their own as strong and powerful individuals. We are here on the largest stage in the world, and this is our one and only opportunity to do so.
Then the Colombian judge presses the golden buzzer, letting gold rain down on Mayya from the ceiling.
Mayya demonstrated to the world that they are worthy of all attention from now on. Keep an eye out for this dance group in the future!
